Hello Friends, hope all is going well with you as the holiday season approaches! I thought it was about time to give you guys an update on the Handyman as i haven't said or posted anything since the release of v1.0.4.

Let's just get this out of the way, Day 11 is still a long ways off.  I am working on it, but to be blunt, I am no longer working on the Handyman to the same degree i had been previously.  after 3 years of almost non-stop work on the game, i'm taking a more relaxed approach. And at the same time, I am also tinkering with another project.

All that being said, work on the Dean's office has made a lot of progress. The image used for the day select you currently have on the current build of the game was just some stuff thrown together just for the sake of making that image, without actually having a room or building at all.

So beyond the desk and wall art, I basically had nothing at the time of release for Day 10. There may still be some tinkering with the structure of the building going forward, but for the most part i believe it is basically done. it is roughly the size of the bottom floor of the dorm. So yes, it will be smaller than the dorm in its entirety.

Most of the work currently is in filling the rooms with furniture and objects and giving the player and characters things to interact with.

After spending 3 years in the dorm, i forgot how much work it is to get things working properly. Drawers and doors and lights and character navigation. A lot of stuff I typically take for granted when making a new day because it's all been in place for a long time.

You may have also noticed a new face in the teaser image for Day 11! Meet Jess, she works the front desk in the Dean's office. I'm sure she will be a great source of information for you!

I wish I could tell you that puzzles and scenes were well under way, but they aren't. I can't really even begin to get those figured out until I have the office closer to its final form, otherwise i run the risk of going down a path that won't end up working and having to redo a bunch of work.

What I  can tell you is that Day 11 will have both the Dean and Jess, as well as either Tanya or Sonam, depending on your previous events. It's also possible someone will be stopping by to further their scientific research.
